In spite of her incapacity, Deb has always remained constructive and hopeful that in the future she would work in a significant and fulfilling profession. Deb discovered about National Able Network’s Senior Services program and sought out assistance in enhancing her abilities and gaining expertise through the Senior Community Service Employment Program. Prior to connecting Deb with a area people group, Deb’s Area Program Specialist, Gene Crucean, contacted Rehabilitation & Industrial Services Enterprises, Inc. (RISE), a corporation that makes a speciality of vocational rehabilitation. RISE provided the necessary tools and assistive know-how for Deb to enter an workplace setting. Once Deb was prepared to be gin her training, she was assigned to the LaGrange County Council on Aging where she labored at the front desk greeting customers, triaging cellphone calls, and dealing with different duties assigned to her. Throughout her training, Deb enhanced her technology expertise and have become a valuable staff member at the Council on Aging! During this past holiday season, Deb acquired a fantastic present: an employment offer from the Council on Aging â€" which Deb accepted with enthusiasm! Great work, Deb!
